Terms of service

1. Who we are

PageHero ("PageHero", "we") is a service that turns a photo and a few details about a child into a personalised, illustrated children's story that can be read, listened to and coloured in.

2. Who can use PageHero

You must be an adult to create an account and use PageHero. The account is always created and used by a responsible adult (a parent or legal guardian), never directly by the child who is the story's protagonist.

By uploading a photo of a minor, you confirm you have parental responsibility, guardianship, or the necessary consent to do so.

3. Content you upload

You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions over any photo or information you upload, and for ensuring it does not infringe third-party rights or is not illegal, offensive or inappropriate.

4. AI-generated content

The story text is generated by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and the illustrations by another AI model (by OpenAI), based on the photo and details you provide.

The result is creative and automated: it may contain inaccuracies or unexpected variations. We do not guarantee the generated content is perfect; we recommend reviewing it before sharing, printing or gifting it.

5. Plans and payments

PageHero offers a trial and two paid options: buying a single story and buying a gift voucher redeemable for one story. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges. Prices are shown at the time of purchase.

Payments are processed through Stripe; we do not store your card details. Every purchase is a one-off payment: nothing renews and you are never charged again, so there is nothing to cancel.

Right of withdrawal: as a consumer you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from a purchase. A story is digital content generated and delivered to you immediately, so by confirming the purchase you expressly request that performance begin at that moment and acknowledge that, once the story has been generated and delivered, you lose the right of withdrawal for that purchase. If anything goes wrong with the generation, write to hola@pagehero.app and we will sort it out.

6. Printed edition

Professional printed editions are not currently available, and PageHero does not accept payments or orders for this service.

7. Ownership of the content

The story generated for you (text and illustrations) is yours, for personal, family and non-commercial use. You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content within the service. We do not resell or publish your stories without your permission.

8. Deleting your stories and account

You can delete any saved story from "My stories" at any time; it is permanently removed along with its illustrations.

To close your account entirely, write to hola@pagehero.app from the address you signed up with. Closing it permanently deletes your stories, their illustrations and audio, and your account data. Billing records are kept separately for as long as tax law requires.

9. Limitation of liability

PageHero is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service or of AI-generated content.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.

11. Contact and governing law

For any questions about these terms, contact us at hola@pagehero.app. These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the rights consumer protection law grants the consumer in their country of residence within the European Union.
